Idaho's Co-county 13U baseball team heads to Babe Ruth World Series with special send-off

Idaho has yet another youth baseball team headed to the World Series. The 13U Co-county baseball team, comprised of Canyon and Owyhee Counties, is headed to the Babe Ruth World Series in Virginia.

The Co-county 13U team left Boise on the 5 a.m. flight out of town, but not before receiving a send-off from Caldwell Police, Canyon County Sheriff's deputies, Chief Ingram and Mayor Wagoner, who all gave the team a police escort to the airport Thursday morning and a salute to wish them luck in the big tournament ahead.

Opening ceremonies begin Friday, Aug. 11, and pool play begins Saturday. To follow along with their progress and to learn more, click HERE.
