It is no secret that Diablo 4's world of Sanctuary is massive, featuring open-world regions and a plethora of content to complete. Most fans of the iconic ARPG franchise already know that the max level (paragon included) is 100 in Diablo 4, but how long will it take to reach this level cap?

This article explains how long it will take the average Diablo 4 player to reach level 100 at launch and through each season, so they can set enough time aside to slay the followers of Lilith.

Update on 12 July 2023: We've updated this article with more details on the time it would take to reach level 100 in Diablo 4.

Time To Reach Level 100 in Diablo 4

During the betas and Server Slam, it took us roughly 10-12 hours to complete Act 1 and the Fractured Peaks region, reaching level 25 (in beta) and level 20 (in Server Slam) in about 10 and 8 hours, respectively.

There are five main regions and several Acts (see our Diablo 4 acts list) in the story campaign. However, the movement is just the start of your Diablo 4 journey, and once completed, you should be close to level 50.

So how long does it take precisely to actually grind through all the World Tier difficulty levels and finally reach 100?

Well, according to the Associate Game Director of Diablo 4, Joseph Piepiora, it should take "the average player" around 150 hours to reach level 100, as the developer answered a fan question on Twitter.

Reaching level 100 will take 150+ hours for the average player experience.

That's no doubt a considerable time investment. However, we are sure hundreds of thousands of Diablo 4 players will rush to reach the maximum level during each season as soon as possible.

It is important to reiterate that this is for the "average" player. It will depend on class, character build, luck for specific drops, and player skill. We are sure we will see some players in Season 1 and beyond reach max level in less than 10 hours...

That's everything you need to know about the time it takes to reach the max level of 100 in Diablo 4. We will endeavor to update this article once we've reached level 100 ourselves and share our exact playtime/build to confirm this estimate by the developers.
