Enchanting is one of the main professions in WoW Classic. As an enchanter, you can disenchant surplus magical items. This will give you materials that you can use to strengthen equipment.
Enchanting does not require a specific gathering profession. It is worth considering choosing Tailoring as an accompanying profession to be able to quickly create magical items and then disenchant them.

What’s Special About Enchanting in WoW SoD Phase 2?
The Season of Discovery (SoD for short) is the second season in WoW Classic. WoW Classic: SoD is divided into several phases. Phase 2 will start on February 8, 2024.
In Phase 2 the maximum character level is 40. The level requirement for Artisan has been increased to level 41 (normally level 35) for all professions in SoD. This information can already be found in the Trainer menus for gathering professions in SoD.
This means that in Phase 2 the maximum Enchanting skill level is 225 (Expert). In Phase 2 it will therefore not be possible to bring Enchanting to the maximum skill level of 300.

Which Enchanting Recipes Are Important in SoD Phase 2?
Due to the level restrictions, not all Enchanting recipes can be crafted in SoD Phase 2. In the following list, you will the most important recipes that will become available in SoD Phase 2. The list also includes Enchantments that were already available in Phase 1 but are still used in Phase 2.

Like in Phase 1, there will be an epic quest chain to unlock the new recipes in Phase 2. Details regarding the quest chain haven’t been announced yet. To craft the new recipes, new materials are needed. A lot of them will be used across different professions.

SoD Phase 1 started on November 30, 2023. In phase 1 the maximum level is 25. For SoD Phase 1, the level requirement for Enchanting Expert has been increased to level 26 (normally level 20). This means that in phase 1 the max Enchanting skill level is 150 (Journeyman). In Phase 1 it is therefore not possible to bring Enchanting to the maximum skill level of 300.

How to Level Enchanting Profitably in SoD Phase 1?
The best way to level Enchanting profitably in SoD is to craft items that are needed to turn Waylaid Supplies into
Supply Shipment. To level Enchanting this way, you mainly craft the items needed to complete Waylaid Supplies in WoW SoD. To do so you buy the materials needed in the auction house, craft the items, and then sell them with profit in the auction house.

Start leveling up Enchanting in SoD by making

How to Level Enchanting in WoW Classic?
As with all professions in WoW Classic, the same applies to enchanting: You receive skill points by carrying out a certain activity (e.g. crafting an item, etc.). The frequency with which you receive a skill point depends on your current skill level. Please note the following color code:
- Orange: You are guaranteed to always gain a skill point.
- Yellow: You often gain a skill point.
- Green: You rarely gain a skill point.
- Gray: You no longer gain skill points.
How many materials you need to skill Enchanting in WoW Classic depends on your luck collecting skill points.
